KARL WAINWRIGHT is a time served Superintendent who has achieved City and Guilds in his chosen field and has subsequently gained a wealth of practical experience in the field whilst working on various Petro-Chemical sites including: Shell UK, ICI (Product and Research), Brunner Mond, Zeneca, Shotton and Bridgewater paper mills, Glaxo, Genzin Fine Chemicals, Proctor & Gamble etc.

He has in excess of 26 year's solid experience in the fabrication, welding and installation of piping systems. He has full and extensive knowledge of General Assembly, Process &Instrument Design and Isometric drawings for the shop and site fabrication and installation in Petro-Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industries. His experience has also included the fabrication / installation and welding of Orbital Hygienic tubing systems as required within the Pharmaceutical industry to the rigid standards of cleanliness specified

He has held the position of Construction / Commissioning Engineer whilst working on the Kodak Eastman Project in Haicang Xiamen, China, Working jointly with East Asia's largest Hygienic Tube fabrication / welding and installation company (Beijing Yanda.) The initial contract was for the fabrication of some 1950 isometrics consisting of 13,500 orbital welds, (at project completion the weld figure was at 19000+) Part of his discipline was to maintain continuity of production and installation to achieve the extremely high standard system that was required by the client.

He has gained an extensive knowledge of Mechanical Maintenance programmes based on the requirements of ISO 9002.

He is able to communicate at all levels and is of a personable nature and is well liked by all who work with him. Additionally he is self-motivated and is able to motivate others.

Karl has recently occupied the roll of  Project Manager on the Kharfi International, 255 Man Camp Project in Basrah, Iraq. He was responsible all of  the piping systems. Duties include, contract activity co-ordination between main piping fabrication sub-contractors to ensure that the Engineers and sub-contractors complete the system and sub-system packages in conformance with specifications and to schedule and within budget. The generation of work to go lists.  Additional duties include the Lock out and tag out nominated authority for the areas of work in accord with all other disciplines and site safety group to ensure safe working practices  are observed at all times

November 2003 - Present. Project Manager.

Base in Basrah, constructing one of the first permanent man camps to be established after the war, for KBR and the Core.

Responsible for all Mechanical works, including potable water and waste water purification systems Installation and

Commissioning. The work force consisting of mostly local labour from the near by City.

Moving on to manage the repair and refurbishment of the oil field production facilities, CPS's, in North Ramalia, Basrah.

Management team comprised of local Iraqi personnel and Eastern expats, ferried in every day from Kuwait.

Once again carrying out the repairs

Under constant threat of terrorism attacks, security at its highest.
